Community Guidelines
These Community Guidelines help keep Foster Care Table Talk safe, respectful, and focused on improving the child welfare system. By participating in any part of the platformβpodcast, webinar, comments, chats, or social mediaβyou agree to follow these standards.
Respectful Engagement
We welcome honest experiences, questions, and perspectives. Please communicate respectfully and avoid harmful, abusive, or inflammatory language. Disagreements are fineβdisrespect is not.
Protecting Childrenβs Privacy
Never share identifying information about children involved in foster care or child welfare. This includes names, photos, case details, locations, or anything that could reveal a childβs identity. All stories must be generalized or anonymized.
Adult Participation Only
This community is intended for adults age 18 and older. The topics discussedβtrauma, foster care, child welfare, and family systemsβare sensitive and require mature understanding.
No Trauma Dumping
This is not a traumaβdumping space. While lived experiences matter, they must be shared responsibly and with purpose. Our goal is constructive conversation that helps identify what went wrong and what could make the child welfare system better.
SolutionβFocused Sharing
We encourage participants to share experiences that highlight:
System gaps
Barriers to reunification
Miscommunication or breakdowns
Opportunities for improvement
Ideas for reform
We learn from each other to help families, children, and caregivers navigate the system more effectively.
No Case-Specific Advice
Do not request or offer legal, medical, therapeutic, or case-specific advice. Always consult qualified professionals for guidance related to active cases.
Privacy & Safety
Do not share confidential information about yourself or others. Protect your own safety and the safety of families involved in child welfare.
Content Removal
Foster Care Table Talk reserves the right to remove comments, posts, or messages that violate these guidelines or compromise the privacy or safety of children and families.
